Depending on what part of Morgan Hill you choose to live, your student will attend one of six elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools, all administered by the Morgan Hill Unified School District.

While there are some excellent schools in the district, many parents of Morgan Hill students prefer private school. One of the most in-demand is the college-preparatory Oakwood School, for students in elementary through high school.

Parochial schools in the area include Saint John XXIII, Saint Catherine School, Shadow Crossroads Christian School and Mountain Baptist School.

By the way, Morgan Hill also boasts a Caltrain station for those times you want to shop or dine in San Francisco without having to take the car.

For outdoor enthusiasts

Leisure time in Morgan Hill for many residents means getting outdoors. The city offers 26 parks and other facilities for residents.

The kids will love the 15,000 square-foot Morgan Hill Skateboard/BMX Park. And, the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center is especially popular, with one grassy area and two sports fields.

Tennis anyone? You’ll be playing at one of eight city-run public tennis courts.

The Morgan Hill Aquatics Center, with a splash pad for the wee ones, two water slides and a competition-size pool will keep your summers cool.

Finally, Morgan Hill residents love taking the pooch outdoors and they can do so at the popular Morgan Hill Dog Park, loaded with amenities for the four-legged. Male dogs have their own fire hydrants and all of them can enjoy the wading pool on a hot, Silicon Valley summer day. There’s stuff for the two-legged as well, including lots of shady places to sit and a gate system that is completely secure.

San Martin

San Martin, a small community between Morgan Hill and Gilroy, is popular with residents who enjoy the benefits of both cities. It’s popular with outsiders (and residents!) for its charming wineries, the Wings of History aircraft museum and the absolutely jaw-dropping-gorgeous homes.
