• Saratoga Union School District – Consistently ranked among the top 10 school districts in the state, Saratoga Union operates three elementary schools and one middle school.
• Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District – Typically ranks in the top 20 school districts in the state. The district offers Los Gatos and Saratoga High Schools.
• Cupertino Union School District – Another that consistently ranks within the top 20 of California’s 865 public school districts.
• Campbell Union High School District – Oversees five high schools (Branham, Leigh, Del Mar, Westmont and Prospect).
• Moreland School District – Operates eight schools.

West Valley Community College is conveniently located in the Saratoga community for students who want to stay local during their post-secondary education.

Things to do in Saratoga

Fans of the arts will love living in Saratoga. The Montalvo Arts Center is located here and provides residents permanent installations, a visual arts gallery and even concerts.

Folks from across the Bay Area flock to Saratoga for the summer Shady Shakespeare performances. Here, they enjoy the works of Shakespeare as they were meant to be staged – outdoors.

The Saratoga Civic Center is the scene for performances offered by South Bay Musical Theatre, and symphony fans have their very own Saratoga Symphony to enjoy.

Lastly, the famous Mountain Winery, formerly the Paul Masson Mountain Winery, where you can enjoy concerts, weddings, events, and corporate meetings in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Saratoga’s Outdoor Amenities

When it comes to your leisure time, you won’t need to leave the city to get outdoors. You’ll find about a dozen city parks and the fabulous Sanborn County Park in which to hike, picnic, camp and more.

Golfers tee it up at the Saratoga Country Club. This is a private club and members enjoy the course, the tennis courts, pool, fitness center, dining facilities and the very active social calendar.

Eighty-six percent of Saratoga’s more than 11,000 housing units are owner-occupied. These homes range in ages, with about one-third of them built in the 1960s. The homes built prior to the 1940s and in the 2000s, however, are typically among Saratoga’s priciest.
