Public school students who live in Monte Sereno attend schools administered by the Los Gatos Union Elementary School, Saratoga Elementary School and Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School Districts.

A very small number of students attend schools overseen by the Campbell Union and Campbell Union High School Districts.

Yes, Monte Sereno is primarily residential. But, it’s quite convenient to a number of outdoor recreational pursuits. Golfers will appreciate that La Rinconada Country Club is located just over the community’s northeast corner.

Just east of the community, in Los Gatos, is Creekside Turf Sports Park, where not only do the little ones play soccer, but you’ll find year-round sporting events.

Just south of there you’ll enjoy Vasona Lake County Park, with 45 acres of grass that folks use for picnics, frisbee fun, soccer, softball and more.
Rent a paddle or row boat and take to the reservoir or drop a line and fish for crappie, bluegill, catfish and more.

Adjacent to Vasona Lake County Park is Los Gatos’ Oak Meadow Park, which they love sharing with their neighbors from Monte Sereno. Here, the kids can ride the carousel while Mom and Dad get the picnic ready. There are also miniature train rides originating in the park.

Monte Sereno has some of the strictest zoning regulations in the region. Only single-family homes can be built here and on lots of a minimum of 8,000 square feet.

Monte Sereno isn’t one of Silicon Valley’s affordable communities. In fact, the lowest priced home here will typically be listed at around $2.4 million. For this, you’ll get a modest 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with about 1,500 square feet of living space.

The most expensive homes for sale in Monte Sereno sit behind gates and offer spectacular views, rich architectural details and many have guest houses. Expect to spend in excess of $10 million for these homes.
